The ministry clarified that all chloroform imports will be strictly conditional upon obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP).

Officials said the move aims to regulate the use of hazardous chemicals, prevent misuse, and minimize environmental and health risks, while ensuring availability for legitimate pharmaceutical purposes.
