The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has issued an important public notice regarding the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2026 (BS-17) under Advertisement No. 36C/2026, outlining the proposed examination schedule and paper structure.
According to the official notice published on the commission’s website, the CCE 2026 examination will be conducted in two distinct phases, allowing PPSC to shortlist candidates in a transparent and structured manner.

Phase I: General Knowledge MCQs Paper
In Phase I, candidates will appear in a General Knowledge paper consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). This screening test is tentatively scheduled for January 25, 2026 (Sunday).
The General Knowledge paper will serve as a qualifying stage, designed to assess candidates’ awareness of national and international affairs, Pakistan studies, current events, and general analytical ability.
Phase II: Written Examination for Qualified Candidates
Only those candidates who successfully qualify Phase I by meeting the prescribed criteria will be allowed to appear in Phase II. This phase will include the remaining written papers of the Combined Competitive Examination as per the approved syllabus.
PPSC clarified that this announcement has been issued purely for information and awareness of applicants, and that detailed instructions, roll number slips, and exam centers will be shared separately in due course.
