Educational institutions across Punjab will reopen on January 12 after the winter holidays, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has confirmed.
Speaking on the matter, the minister dismissed rumors circulating on social media about a possible extension in winter vacations, stating that there is no plan to extend the holidays.

He clarified that schools, colleges, and other educational institutions will resume academic activities according to the previously announced schedule. No new notification regarding an extension has been issued or is under consideration.

Every year, misleading reports regarding extensions in winter vacations surface online, causing confusion among students and parents. However, this time, the Punjab government has issued a clear and timely clarification to prevent misinformation.
All public and private educational institutions in Punjab are therefore expected to reopen on January 12, as scheduled.
