USA Squad Finalised Ahead of Sri Lanka Tour

Although the USA Cricket Board has yet to make an official announcement, reliable reports suggest that an 18-member squad has been selected for an upcoming tour of Sri Lanka. The tour will include a five-match T20 series against Sri Lanka A, with Ehsan Adil named in the travelling party.

Senior cricket journalist Peter Della Penna has reported that this squad is expected to remain unchanged for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March 2026.

Ehsan Adil’s Journey From Pakistan to USA

Ehsan Adil made his Test debut for Pakistan in February 2013 against South Africa in Centurion. He went on to play three Tests and six ODIs for Pakistan before 2015, picking up five wickets in Tests and four in ODIs.

Earlier in his career, he was also part of Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup held in Australia.

Strong Domestic Career Across Formats

At the domestic level, Ehsan enjoyed a long and consistent career across all formats:

  • 67 First-Class matches – 245 wickets

  • 67 List A matches – 98 wickets

  • 68 T20 matches – 86 wickets

His domestic career spanned from 2012 to 2021, establishing him as a reliable pace bowler in Pakistan’s domestic circuit.

Last Appearance for Pakistan

Ehsan Adil was also included in Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand. His final appearance for Pakistan came in the quarter-final against Australia in Adelaide, which Australia won by six wickets.

Now, with a new chapter unfolding, Ehsan Adil is set to feature on cricket’s biggest stage once again — this time wearing USA colors.
