Despite worsening winter conditions, the Sindh government has decided not to close schools, instead announcing a temporary change in school opening timings across the province.
According to an official notification, the decision was taken by the Sindh Education Minister after consultation with the Chief Minister, keeping in view the ongoing cold wave and students’ well-being.

Authorities confirmed that the decision will take effect from Monday and will remain valid until January 26.
Reason for the Change
Education officials said the timing adjustment aims to protect students from extreme morning cold while ensuring that academic activities continue without disruption.
The revised timings will apply to all government and private schools, with uniform implementation across the province.
